Aid For Learning’s underlying goal is to raise money to ensure all students have an equally suitable learning environment. Funds will be used to supply much needed desks and chairs for high school students in Nabha who currently work and study on the floor in their schools. Each school desk runs a mere $50.
My name is Saahil Rai and I am based in San Jose, CA. My initial goal is to raise enough money for 50 desks for high schools and elementary schools in Nabha.
Why Nabha? My paternal grandparents both immigrated from Nabha to the U.S. in the late 60s and provided a nurturing and caring environment for their family. I made the decision to start there as a tribute to my roots and to the gratitude I have for the blessings I have been given to be able to give back.
Please keep up to date on Aid For Learning and track my progress here. For any questions, contact me via email. Donations to this cause are always appreciated. I am very excited about this project and I hope to be able to make an impact on these students’ educational experiences. Every child, no matter where they are, deserves a proper learning atmosphere to be able to grow to their full potential. I am humbled to be able to help as many students as possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
